Myrtle Beach Resident Donates Her Time Each Thanksgiving to Feed Police Officers

Barbara Prescop, a resident of Myrtle Beach in South Carolina, donates her time each Thanksgiving to help serve a full holiday meal to the law enforcement officers and personnel. Prescop gives up her entire day to ensure each officer on every shift gets a big serving to show her gratitude for the work that they do. “That’s my payback—just watching them enjoy it,” Prescop said. “They appreciate it. Citizen Vows to Give Every Police Officer from Local Department a Personalized Gift

A resident of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin decided to create a program to give back to police officers in a special way. After going on a ride-along with a local officer and realizing the kindness that they showed others, Bonnie Lemmer created the Boxes4BADGES program which gives every officer of the Menomonee Falls Police Department a personalized gift. 13-Year-Old Raises $13,000 Through Hot Cocoa Sales for Family of Fallen Officer

When Max Titkemeier, 8, heard that a local officer from the Toledo Police Department was killed in the line of duty, he felt inclined to give back to the officer’s family during their time of need. He set up a hot cocoa stand with all donations going back to the officer’s family. Thanks to his determination and the generosity of his community, he was able to raise $13,000.
